Note from foster-mom after riding him on 4/6/2008: Oscar - oh my.  He is awesome!  So very responsive to legs.  I didn't need to use any pull on the reins (aka halter lead...) Just a gentle nudge with the leg, and he bent around it like a dressage horse.  He kept his head down much better than Hamlet (not really fair to Ham since I was just using a halter).  Backed well.   Stop/turn/move anything with the slightest indication from me.   He was spunky enough (he often races Valhalla across the pasture to see who can cross the bridge first - she always wins - and he bucks as he races her) but not hyper.  I never had any feeling of bolting, bucking, anything like that.

And I have still never seen hair like Oscar has.   I used a curry comb on him for about 10 minutes.  I had masses of hair all over the barn, and still
didn't make a dent in his bushy hair do.  It was hysterical.
