TO ADOPT MOOSE........

Notes from Moose's foster-mom

7/27/2007: Moose can be handled by both male and female. He lunges without a problem, allows you to lead him and follows without a problem. Next week we will be trying to saddle him and ride him.......

9/5/2007: Moose is doing good. He follows me around the yard like a puppy and is now used to the sound of the riding mower lol. He also lets me spray him down with fly spray and loves the hose-bath he gets every other day. He leads well on a lead rope with out a problem. I am working on getting him to trailer w/out any problems - he has a small-space problem but we will work it out. ... He now falls asleep as I pet his head ears and face. He allows me to brush him down after I spray or bath him with out having a lead rope on.
I am falling in love with him and I think he know's it too...

9/6/2007: Moose has learned a new trick now - I have the feed in a big metal trash can with a lid on it, and I had to put a bungie cord on the can to keep the lid on and moose will let me no when he wants more by grabbing the can lid and lifting it so it makes a bang when he sets it down - it is so cute to watch. Then if I don't pay attention to him he will come to the back door and whinny till I come out. He is just like a child sometimes lol....
