FIRST,
you would need to submit an ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE.
This APPLICATION is for interview and reference purposes only - it is NOT considered a commitment, and there are no fees involved.
After submitting your application, we will check at least one of your references to confirm some of your information.
(NO exceptions.)

SECOND,
if we come to a "verbal" agreement, you would have to print, complete, sign and submit the actual ADOPTION AGREEMENT within one week.

THIRD,
for numerous reasons, we have to insist on a DEPOSIT at the time of the ADOPTION AGREEMENT. The deposit amount has to be at least 30-50% of the adoption fee.

And FINALLY,
the rest of the ADOPTION FEE is due either 1-2 weeks after the ADOPTION AGREEMENT has been signed, or 1-14 days prior to pick-up of the horse - whatever comes first.

PAYMENTS
can be made either via MONEY-ORDER, WIRE-TRANSFER or PAYPAL. For all PayPal payments you would have to add 3.5% to the total to cover the PayPal-Fees (but in return you would be able to use your credit-card for payment).

PICK-UP
If the adopted horse is here in SD, it should be picked up no later than 2-3 weeks after the ADOPTION AGREEMENT has been made, unless a different pick-up date has been agreed upon. After that, a boarding fee of $3.00 to $6.00 per day will be charged.
