CHARLES - 13-yo Registered Belgian Gelding - ** Located in 29450 SC **

  • Registered Belgian (adopted w/o papers)
  • Born in 1994
  • Approx.16.2 hands 
  • Trained to drive by the Amish, but not used for the last few years
  • Gets along with submissive geldings....
  • ... but not ready for mares, mixed herds or dominant horses yet !!
  • Has some scaring on the outside of his left hind leg....
  • ....does NOT effect his movement or soundness at all.
  • He might have Arthritis in his rear - joint supplement suggested !
  • Castrated and vaccinated on 5/24/2007
  • Trimmed in August-2007
  • Currently in training - Started under saddle !!!
  • Ready to go !!!

UPDATE 6/18/2007: A professional horse trainer out of MI (A true "Horse Whisperer" in my book - a truly amazing person, and the best trainer I've EVER come across) has been evaluating and working with Charlie all day today. Charlie can now be approached, haltered and handled w/o him running off and without any other problems. However, due to his size and his past, Charlie needs a draft-experienced and CONFIDENT home who is able to handle him firmly but kindly and with respect . He is available and ready to go to a foster-, or preferably a permanent home. Anybody interested in Charlie is very welcome to talk to this incredible trainer directly and find out everything about Charlie first-hand !!
